Textbook Photo

I could use this idea for lines or for an unusual angle. This picture appeals to me because of the staircase and how it leads my eyes to the lighting fixture. I've always been really interested in spiral staircases, and this would be a good way to bring that interest into my photography.

Lines Critique

I like both of my lines pictures. However, I like the one with the vertical lines better because of the perspective. The one of the rocks is somewhat boring because of the perspective. I think it follows the rule of thirds for composition.

Depth of Field Critique

I'm pleased with my depth of field pictures. I think the shallow d.o.f. one is more interesting than the other because of the perspective, but I like the composition of the tree photo also.

Internet Lines

1. These are real lines that lead your eye to the background. I was attracted to this picture because of the colors and composition.
2. These are also leading lines that direct your eye on the entire road. This attracted me because the lines were so curvy.
3. This picture has real lines that move your eye from the foreground to the background. I was attracted to the picture because it reminds me of a place I go to in summer and the composition.
4. These are real lines that go in different directions, leading you to different places. The signs in the background could also be implied lines. It attracted me because the contrast of black and white.
5. These are implied lines because the formation of the geese is not an actual line. This photo attracted me because of the colors and composition.

Internet Depth of Field

2.
4.

1. This one was taken with a large aperture and the photographer was probably close to the subject.
2. This was also a large aperture.
3. This was also a large aperture, and photographer may have been close to subject.
4. This was taken with small aperture, and not close to subject.
5. This was a small aperture, and maybe a wide angle lens.
6. This was a small aperture for depth but may have been adjusted for lighting.

Internet Stop Action and Motion Blur

The stop action photos must be fast shutter speeds and the motion blur is the opposite, slow.
